The 2025 Toyota Camry stands out as a stylish and efficient modern sedan. This latest generation of the most popular sedan in America raises the bar with a sophisticated design and cutting-edge technology.
Hereβs why the 2025 Camry should be at the top of your list if youβre in the market for a new mid-size sedan.
Sleek Design
The 2025 Camry received a design refresh, building on the 2018-2024 generation. Its bold lines conjure a sense of motion even when the car is parked. The sporty front grille, sleek LED headlights, and aerodynamic body create an aesthetically pleasing presence on the road.
The interior is also impressive, which is very important considering that’s where you’ll be most of the time. Inside, you’re greeted with a cabin thatβs both luxurious (for the price point) and functional.
The ergonomically designed dashboard ensures that all controls are within easy reach, and the spacious seating offers relaxing comfort for drivers and passengers. Well, mostly. It’s not the best for three adults in the back; I’ve been there and done that. For short trips that should be fine, and three children should have plenty of space.
Whether you’re embarking on a long road trip, a short commute, or heading to the grocery store, the 2025 Camry promises a refined and comfortable experience. Just don’t get too relaxed! It includes the latest Toyota active safety tech driver assistance package, helping you avoid common causes of accidents.
Advanced Technology
In the 2025 Camry, technology isn’t an afterthought; it’s seamlessly integrated into all aspects of the driving experience. The centerpiece is the standard 8″ touchscreen infotainment system (12.3″ on XLE & XSE trims), which supports wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa.
The new system ensures you stay connected, entertained, and on course with intuitive navigation and voice command features. I especially like using Google (or Siri, for all you Apple users) voice commands while driving – to play music on Spotify (other apps work too), begin navigation, make a call, reply to a text, and so on.
Toyota’s cloud-based voice commands are much improved over the previous system if you want to use those rather than Google, Apple, or Alexa.
Safety is a top priority in the 2025 Camry, thanks to Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, a suite of advanced standard safety features. This includes a Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control. And for those of you who drive the country roads at night, automatic high beams have been standard since 2018, and have been improved to operate more accurately, and with less aggravation.
The 360-degree camera system and parking assist are also available to make maneuvering in tight spaces easier. Cars have had rear view cameras for many years, but the new camera and digital display are improved for greater brightness and clarity.
Sometimes it’s the little things I find most interesting. For example, the automatic electronic parking brake. This is very helpful for those who struggle to remember to apply a parking brake manually. Now it does it for you when you shift into P. If you change into R/N/D, it automatically releases. Win! Without even trying.
The Camry also has a “Hold” button near the gear shifter. When activated, the brake will be automatically held when stopped (red light, ATM, drive-thru) – no need to keep your foot on the brake pedal. When ready to go, tap the throttle, and the brake will be released.
And of course, the 2025 Toyota Camry has tech features like smart keys, smartphone app remote (start, stop, lock, unlock, etc.), wireless phone charger, rain-sensing wipers on higher trims, heated and ventilated seats (also higher trims), and so on. You can even use your smartphone as a digital key instead of the smart-key fobs.
Unmatched Efficiency for the Performance
The 2025 Camry offers two powertrain options – front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive (AWD has an extra electric motor for the rear, adding more horsepower). The front-wheel drive version features a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine offering a commendable balance of power and fuel efficiency (rated for 51 mpg combined average), making it perfect for daily commuting.
The SE and above trims offer the same power as the front-wheel drive variants with larger alloy wheels (reducing fuel economy a bit). They all accelerate 0-60 in under 7 seconds (an improvement on the previous generation hybrid Camry that went 0-60 in 7.4 seconds).
Here’s where things get a bit sad for me, and I’m sure many who liked the previous XSE or XLE Camry with the v6 (300hp) option which made it to 60 mph in under 6 seconds; it is gone. For now. Maybe forever. We’ll see.
Conclusion: An Affordable Midsize Sedan That Ticks All the Boxes
The 2025 Toyota Camry is not just a car; it’s a statement. It embodies the perfect blend of style, technology, and efficiency, at affordable prices, making it a standout choice in the competitive midsize sedan market. Whether you prioritize aesthetics, advanced features, or fuel economy, the Camry delivers on all fronts.
